Our range of tech programs for first- and second-year students are designed to mainline your access to education and training in tech, computer science and engineering. With a variety of commitment levels and learning styles, each program offers the skills and experience needed to expand your tech know-how and even help you land an internship.

Each program focuses on industry-essential curriculum, technical and interpersonal skills, hands-on learning and mentorship from some of the best in tech. From full-time rigorous training to part-time asynchronous learning to absorbing the fundamentals from coveted instructors, our programs propel you to the next level.

Tech Developer Residency
Our core program, SEO Tech Developer Residency is our most intensive and impactful program. It’s virtual, immersive and designed to be a huge stepping stone in your tech education journey. You’ll get some of the best learning, training and mentoring experiences available, all while getting a $6,000 stipend for the summer!
Our SEO Tech Developer Residency is for you if:
- You can commit to a full-time, intensive summer residency program
- You want to get a stipend for gaining skills, training and mentoring in tech
- You’re a sophomore at an accredited, four-year US college or university
- You’re a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, MIS or other quantitative concentration, though all majors are considered
Schedule:
May: Four weeks of part-time pre-work, approx. 20 hours/week
June: Full-time summer residency begins, Monday-Friday 11am-6pm ET. Summer residency concludes in August.
August through December: Part-time interview prep workshops, 1-on-1 coaching and mock interviewing.
Special Benefit for Tech Developer Students: TechDevCon
TechDevCon, held in New York City, brings together students and industry professionals to learn and build community in a dynamic and engaging environment. The three-day conference includes hands-on workshops and programs, networking with peers and instructors, and a community mixer with partners and alumni.

Tech Developer LITE
Our LITE Track is a 4-week, part-time track designed for students who need a flexible schedule to balance their summer learning with other commitments. Less intense than the Residency, Tech Dev Lite will give you the core skills you need without the pressure of a full-time schedule.
Tech Developer Lite is for you if:
- You want a more flexible schedule
- You prefer an asynchronous learning environment
- You have other summer commitments and can only commit to a part-time program
Schedule:
4 week summer program, approx. 15-20 self-paced hours/week
First Year Academy
A two-part virtual training held in spring and summer, SEO First Year Academy is your gateway into the world of coding and CS fundamentals. No prior programming experience is required — this program is designed to propel you to your next level as a first-year college student.
First Year Academy is for you if:
- You’re a first-year student expecting to graduate in fall 2027 or spring 2028
- You’re interested in learning to code, or improve existing skills (no prior programming experience required!)
- You’re a computer science or otherwise STEM–focused major — or plan to declare
- You have a strong interest in pursuing a software engineering or tech-centric career
Schedule:
Spring: 8 weeks, February – April, approx. 5 hours/week
Summer: 4 weeks, July – August, approx. 15-20 hours/week
