Talent Opportunity Center

A direct line to career-changing opportunities in alternative investments.

The Talent Opportunity Center (TOC) connects experienced SEO alumni in finance with career opportunities at Middle Market alternative investment firms. With over a decade of success in placing talent in the industry and a network of 2,600+ finance professionals, the TOC offers coveted roles from coveted firms.

    • You’re an SEO alum with finance/banking or management consulting experience
    • You’re exploring buy-side or career-advancing roles
    • You want targeted alerts for roles that fit your profile
  2. How it works:
    • Partners share career opportunities directly to the TOC
    • You receive targeted emails and text alerts about postings based on your experience and interest
    • If you’re a fit, SEO shares your resume with partners whose jobs you’re interested in
    • You’ll receive a notification if you’re selected for an interview
    • Interview prep is also available (based on schedule availability)
  3. For TOC Partners:

SEO Protégé is a mentorship initiative that pairs early-career SEO alumni (Protégés) with accomplished senior professionals (Patrons). Designed to unlock growth and increase access, it’s one of the most powerful connections SEO facilitates.

  1. For Protégés

    Start strong with a Patron who’s been there.
    Get the personal guidance, professional advice, and support you need to take your early career to the next level.

    You’re a fit if:

    • You’re an SEO alum with less than four years of work experience
    • You’re navigating your early professional path
    • You want a champion in your corner
  2. For Patrons

    Use your experience to invest in someone’s future.
    As a Patron, you’ll build a relationship with a rising SEO alum. It’s a meaningful way to give back — and often, grow yourself in the process.

    You’re a fit if:

    • You have 10+ years of professional experience
    • You’re excited to invest in an early-career professional
    • You can meet a minimum of four times annually (at least once in person)
  3. Program Structure:
    • Orientation session for all matched pairs
    • A kickoff meeting to set shared goals
    • Quarterly check-ins over the course of 12 months
    • Curriculum and support from SEO 
    • An annual celebration of the community of pairs

Each program serves a different goal:

  • Talent Opportunity Center (TOC) is for experienced SEO alumni in finance or consulting who are exploring buy-side or career-advancing roles in alternative investments.
  • SEO Protégé is a one-on-one mentorship program pairing early-career alumni with senior leaders for guidance, advocacy, and growth.

SEO Connect is a dedicated online platform for SEO alumni across all programs. It allows you to search the alumni directory, join conversations, share job leads and resources, and seek or offer professional advice — making it easier to build meaningful connections with purpose.

The Talent Opportunity Center is designed for SEO alumni with finance, banking, or management consulting experience who are interested in buy-side or alternative investment roles. Partners share opportunities directly with SEO, and alumni receive targeted alerts based on experience and interests, along with interview exposure and optional preparation support.

SEO Protégé pairs early-career alumni (under four years of experience) with senior professionals who have 10+ years of experience. Over a 12-month period, matched pairs meet regularly, set shared goals, and receive structure, curriculum, and support from SEO — creating one of the most impactful mentorship relationships in the network.
